Vice President of Human Resources

The Corporate Vice President of Human Resources (HR) will provide executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. The Corporate Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.  In addition, will bring strategic HR leadership in the areas of organizational development, talent acquisition and retention, performance management, benefits, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, labor laws/legal compliance, and training and development programs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of HR disciplines, processes, policies, employment laws, and best practices in human resources, and talent management (across multiple states)
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term strategic goals; and identifies ways to support this vision
  • Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource team in the following areas, benefits, payroll, recruitment, employee relations, employee culture, employee retention, performance appraisals
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
  • Assists with providing professional development/training opportunities at all levels of the organization
  • Maintain human resource policies by preparing, updating, and recommending changes as needed
  • Prepare and present reports on specific topics related to HR for Executive Management Team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven HR Leadership at a mid-size to large organization

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management
