Salesforce Developer

General Duties and Responsibilities:

The Salesforce Developer develops and enhances Salesforce Sales Cloud applications that assist users to streamline tasks and optimize the collection of key business data.  This position is responsible for working with Subject Matter Experts throughout the organization to define, research and develop tools, reports and dashboards. The Developer is responsible for building, maintaining and continually improving the Salesforce environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department managers and directors to identify and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help track information that support departmental goals.
  • Identify operational processes to design and implement workflows and Salesforce interactive objects and applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and software versioning.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting to improve existing Salesforce applications.
  • Apply an understanding of best practices to design, develop and implement Salesforce solutions.
  • Develop strategies to integrate legacy systems with the goal of streamlining information, increasing accuracy, and improving efficiency.
  • Act as liaison between various operational departments and accounting to assure all reporting requests are tailored to fulfill both day-to-day and reporting requirements.
  • Develop specifications and standards for data entry, validation and presentation.

Minimum Training and Experience:

  • Salesforce development with 3-10 years’ Sales Cloud experience and demonstrated knowledge of the following:
    • Salesforce Custom Objects
    • Process Builder
    • APEX classes
    • APEX triggers
    • Visual Force page development
    • REST, SOAP, API processing
    • Web Services integration
    • Strong understanding of Roles, Profiles as it relates to custom Object integration
    • Workflow processing
    • Validation rules
    • Email generation

Experience in the following software is a plus:

  • SharePoint and SharePoint Designer
  • SQL
  • SOQL
  • Nintex Forms and Workflows
