Project Manager – Construction Management

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for providing management and oversight of construction projects under the guidance of the Regional Construction Manager. This position requires an individual who is comfortable giving direction to vendors and tenants for multiple construction projects across the region. The Project Manager also works with Property Managers and Building Engineers in directing vendors to complete tasks for a variety of capital and tenant improvements. This position requires excellent communication skills, organization and attention to detail. In addition, the PM must be comfortable with various computer systems including SharePoint, Salesforce, Avid and Angus, MS Project Schedules and other systems as required, training provided.


  • Preparation of budgets & cost reports for RCM approval
  • Regular project status reports
  • Updating of various tracking systems for construction management
  • Contract management including document preparation guidance and review; lead bid process of contract services and construction work – preliminary bid analysis
  • Review & Approve invoices for payment and approval.
  • Maintain filing system including plans and various construction documents and contract files
  • Work on special projects under supervision the Regional Construction Manager

Tenant Improvements

  • Assume leadership of specific tenant improvement projects as assigned by the Regional Construction Manager, including but not limited to: conceptual designs, budgeting, proper permitting, bidding and contracting, managing, approving and reconciling cost.
  • Manage other projects as required with the same standards of tenant improvement projects.
  • Create “scope of work” documents for contracting in lieu of architectural plans when necessary and appropriate.
  • Track and record all critical path information related tenant improvement projects assigned
  • Develop and enhance relationships with owner representatives, clients, existing tenants, property management staff and vendors.
  • Work with various leasing and real estate contacts, clients, designers and engineers to provide take off budgets, space alteration concepts and solutions for various space requirements under the direction of the Regional Construction Manager.
  • Create timelines and schedules for various asset related projects.
  • Ensure commencement dates are realistic and bring projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Review plans to assure documents are consistent with tenant expectations, lease requirements, building standards, all applicable codes.
  • Read and understand leases and work letters to ensure requirements are fulfilled as it relates to the tenant improvement.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring new budget request are met, new projects are started on time and completed projects are properly closed out, on time and on budget.

Travel Requirements

  • Project Progress Meetings and Site visits
  • As needed for proper oversight of tenant improvements and capital projects as directed
  • Must be available to travel weekly as needed


  • HS diploma or equivalent, relevant experience in or construction management
  • Prior Construction Management experience preferred in commercial construction or medical.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Salesforce, Angus, and/or Avid is desired but not required training can be provided
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Must work well under deadlines; handle high volume of work; prioritize workflow as needed
  • Detail-oriented; able to handle multiple projects with extreme professionalism.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to discreetly handle confidential and time-sensitive information
