Project Manager – Construction Management

Position Summary:

In the role of Project Manager working in Miami, FL you will be part of the Construction Management Team.  You will be responsible for providing management of Tenant & Capital Improvements for a portfolio of Medical Office Buildings. You will be providing the leadership to manage projects from concept to move in, including but not limited to; Tenants, Leasing Associates, Property Managers, Building Engineers, Professional Architects & Engineers, General Contractors, Inspection Authority’s and a variety of vendors on a day-to-day basis to bring projects to successful completion and ensure the achievement of the company’s vision and business plan in terms of value, quality, service and people.

This position reports to the Vice President, Capital and Construction Management and works closely with all Construction teams.

The Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of budgets and cost reports for approval
  • Inspections for all phases of construction according to plans and provides regular project status reports
  • Updating of various tracking systems for construction management
  • Contract management including document preparation guidance and review; lead bid process of contract services and construction work – preliminary bid analysis
  • Review and approve invoices for payment and approval
  • Summarizes and analyzes data; makes recommendations related to research findings
  • Maintain filing system including plans and various construction documents and contract files.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Some travel will be required for proper oversight of tenant improvements as well as Project Progress Meetings and Site visits.

The Other Qualifications:    

  • You have a degree in Construction Management or equivalent field experience in Medical Office construction, tenant improvements and relevant experience in the administrative office functions of construction management.
  • You have extensive field and managerial knowledge of the tenant improvement process as well as a minimum of 5 years of field and office work combined.
  • Prior Construction Management experience preferred in commercial construction or medical.
  • Proficient in the use of technology, computers, smart phones and tablets
  • Knowledge of ProCore, SharePoint, Salesforce, and/or Avid is preferred but not required, training can be provided.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish
