HR Generalist

Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. (NYSE: HTA) is the largest dedicated owner and operator of medical office buildings in the United States.  We are looking for an HR Generalist with sophisticated HR Business partner experience to join our HR Department.

In this role, the HR Generalist you will be delivering human resource strategies and solutions to the build the organizational capability required to achieve business goals.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Regional HR support by collaborating with functional leaders and ensuring that all key HR and business processes are executed properly. You will plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects and programs in a changing environment.
  • Promote positive employee relations and engagement by being a leader in diversity and inclusion and developing strategies to ensure on-going effectiveness
  • Create a culture of continuous learning and development. Partner with management to provide the leadership required to advance employee technical and leadership skills
  • Lead Leadership & Development training, New Hire Orientation as well as New Manager Assimilation
  • Promote employee health and wellness
  • Lead team performance, talent, and career management and create a culture of employee engagement
  • Ensure the communication of all HR Polices and procedure to the business

Minimum Requirements:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in HR related field OR equivalent experience
  • You have worked and supported in a corporate environment
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in human resources with strong generalist experience and a focus on leadership level partnerships. Experienced in driving culture improvement and change
  • You should have a working knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations in the HR field
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.  You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
  • Self-motivated, highly organized and ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal and cross-organizational communication and collaboration skills
