This position is accountable for the regional oversight of in-house Building Engineers who provide maintenance services for our Medical Office Building portfolio across the Nation.  The primary role of this position is the implementation, general execution and oversight of the maintenance programs for the portfolio. The Corporate Facilities Manager is responsible for the coordination, communication and management of a team of Regional Chief Engineers and local Building Engineers along with other contracted resources to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all properties within the national portfolio.


The Corporate Facilities Manager role provides the technical expertise and building systems knowledge required to direct all aspects of engineering related to the company’s real estate assets: Utility distribution, BAS, EMS, HVAC, Mechanical Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Life Safety and other required medical office building support systems.

Primary functions of the position in addition to demonstrated systems knowledge are administrative. These focus responsibilities include staffing and managing all personnel aspects of the regional engineering team. Direct oversight of building maintenance staff coverage for properties under supervision to include covering vacations and on call/after hour emergency coverage. Along with the implementation and training of the company’s technical resources and electronic platforms, preventative maintenance and electronic work order systems. 


The position is required to provide technical support and assistance to the local Property and Construction Managers including; Management and coordination of contractors for tenant and capital improvements. Budgeting and forecasting of operational expenses related to building maintenance and staff operations. 

Requires independent physical work, the ability to effectively supervise and direct others, to include training and execution of corporate initiatives.

  • Oversee, coordinate and perform preventative maintenance and maintenance repair task, and light duty construction associated with physical structures, plumbing systems, all aspects of HVAC operation, electrical distribution and other various building systems found in commercial MOB’s.   
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of safety policies, processes and procedures related to the daily maintenance operations of the facilities. Leaderships and participation in safety program, knowledge and skills training and various administrative programs for the tracking and management of the assets  
  • Provide Oversite and coordination of vendors for capital and tenant improvements when working on site
  • Evaluate plans contact vendors and assist in formulation of budgets for capital and tenant improvements.
  • Create and implement required daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual required building inspections, and institute required corrections and/or Preventative Maintenance systems and schedules as needed. 
  • Outstanding customer service skills required
  • 7-10 years of experience in property maintenance and administration of commercial medical office building environments
  • 5-10 years of experience working on commercial building HVAC systems 
  • 3-5 years of experience managing employees in a service oriented position or environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, Intermediate knowledge of building automation and sequencing. 
  • Ability to comprehend and use technology to aid in the management of duties; Computers, Mobile Smart Phone, Energy Management Systems and diagnostic equipment.
  • Outstanding written/oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders, man hoists or lifts, and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50lbs.), 
  • Frequent travel within portfolio area as required.
