As part of our commitment to giving back to our local communities, we organize employee volunteer opportunities.
Phoenix HTA volunteered at HomeBase on March 31. HomeBase serves youth 18-24 years of age who are experiencing homelessness including teens that have left undesirable family environments, young adults who lack the skills or experience needed to live independently and in rising numbers, youth who identify as LGBTQ.
HTA employees served the Indianapolis community on July 20, 2018. Thirteen volunteers from the Indy office went to the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Volunteer groups included produce, re-stocking, bread, carts and “no points” area. The organization was very grateful to have HTA volunteers as Fridays are normally a low volunteer day.
HTA held food drives across our portfolio throughout the month of November. Food collection boxes were set up in the lobby of our buildings or property management offices. All nonperishable food items collected were donated to local food banks including Food Bank of the Rockies, Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, Boston Food Bank and Dayton Food Bank.
Boston area HTA employees volunteered at the 10th Annual Run to Home Base which supports military members and their families. The race raised more than $2.3 million for service members, veterans and their families.
